DSS
© DSS II (blue) - 5×5'
Name: NGC1514, PK165-15.1, H4.69
Type: PN
Constellation: Tau
Coordinates: 04h09m16.98s / +30°46'33.5"
Brightness / Size: v10.9 mag / 2.2×2.2'
4.5" f/8, 25x + [OIII], Bortle 6-, SQM-L 18.9
At 25x with [OIII] filter almost visible with direct vision, evident with averted vision, roundish, without details. Central star easy to see also without any filter. With UHC filter the planetary appeared somewhat fainter, without filter only a dim glow. At 75x also without a filter well seen with averted vision, but still faint.

EASY
120mm f/5, 40x + UHC, Bortle 6-, NELM 4.8+, SQM-L 19.1
At 18x only the central star is visible. At 40x the nebula appears as faint halo around the central star. With UHC or [OIII] filter the nebula is visible with direct vision and appears roundish.

EASY
8" f/6, 96x + UHC, Bortle 4, SQM-L 20.9
Bright 10.1m central star evident at 37x. At 96x without any filter the nebula is well perceptible with averted vision, rather faint, evenly bright, relatively large. Look like a square with rounded corners. With UHC the nebula appeared mottled with averted vision.
