Type: OC
Constellation: Per
Coordinates: 03h27m00.00s / +49°07'00.00"

NGC869 (OC)

DSS
© DSS II (blue) - 30×30'
Name: NGC869, H6.33
Group: Double Cluster
Type: OC
Constellation: Per
Coordinates: 02h19m00.00s / +57°07'42.00"
Brightness / Size: v3.7 mag / 30.0x30.0'
naked eye, Bortle 4
Evident with direct vision. Seen as diffuse, oval brightening together with NGC884.

EASY
naked eye, Bortle 6, SQM-L 19.3
Together with NGC884 visible as oval brightening. Evident with averted vision, barely visible with direct vision.

EASY
8" f/6, 37x, Bortle 5, NELM 5.5+, SQM-L 20.8
Two brighter, evident stars near the center. Besides one of them I noticed a considerable concentration of stars. That's why the cluster appears a bit more compact than NGC884. Together with its neighbour NGC884 and many star chains a wonderful cluster also for smaller telescopes!
EASY

NGC884 (OC)

DSS
© DSS II (blue) - 30×30'
Name: NGC884, H6.34
Group: Double Cluster
Type: OC
Constellation: Per
Coordinates: 02h22m23.00s / +57°07'30.00"
Brightness / Size: v3.8 mag / 30.0x30.0'
naked eye, Bortle 4
Evident with direct vision. Seen as diffuse, oval brightening together with NGC869.

EASY
naked eye, Bortle 6, SQM-L 19.3
Together with NGC869 visible as oval brightening. Evident with averted vision, barely visible with direct vision.

EASY
8" f/6, 37x, Bortle 5, NELM 5.5+, SQM-L 20.8
Evident and in comparison to NGC869 more loose. With NGC884 in the field really nice view.
EASY

NGC957 (OC)

DSS
© DSS II (blue) - 15×15'
Name: NGC957
Type: OC
Constellation: Per
Coordinates: 02h33m21.00s / +57°33'36.00"
Brightness / Size: v7.6 mag / 11.0x11.0'
8" f/6, 37x, Bortle 7, NELM 4.5
Three stars apparent with direct vision. Background near these stars appears slightly granulous at low magnification. At 100x some faint stars pop out. The cluster is more elongated and loose.
EASY

NGC1193 (OC)

DSS
© DSS II (blue) - 5×5'
Name: NGC1193, H2.608

120mm f/5, 75x, Bortle 6-, NELM 4.8+, SQM-L 19.1
Fairly small, less condensed, appeared occasionally granular, rather faint.

MODERATE
8" f/6, 133x, Bortle 4-
Roundish to slightly oval, somewhat granulous with averted vision. Overall rather faint.
