IC1434 (OC)

DSS
© DSS II (blue) - 15×15'
Name: IC1434, Collinder 445, Melotte 239
Type: OC
Constellation: Lac
Coordinates: 22h10m33.40s / +52°50'33.70"
Brightness / Size: v9.0 mag / 8.0x8.0'
120mm f/5, 40x, Bortle 6, SQM-L 19.4
At 40x rather faint, evenly bright, appeared granular with averted vision. Three brighter stars form an obvious triangle in the southern part, another brighter star southeastwards. At 75x the cluster was less pleasing.

EASY
120mm f/5, 18x, Bortle 4, SQM-L 21.0
At 18x evident with averted vision. Brighter star at the edge. At 40x outstanding chains of stars.

EASY
8" f/6, 37x, Bortle 4+
Apparently higher star density. Consists of mainly fainter stars. At 100x interesting star chains standing out of the cluster.

IC1442 (OC)

DSS
© DSS II (blue) - 10×10'
Name: IC1442
Type: OC
Constellation: Lac
Coordinates: 22h16m30.00s / +54°03'00.00"
Brightness / Size: v9.1 mag / 5.0x5.0'
8" f/6, 100x, Bortle 4+
Mainly medium bright and faint, loosely scattered members.
EASY

King 9 (OC)

DSS
© DSS II (blue) - 5×5'
Name: King 9
Type: OC
Constellation: Lac
Coordinates: 22h15m30.00s / +54°24'30.00"
Brightness / Size: - / 2.5x2.5'
8" f/6, 150x, Bortle 3, SQM-L 21.3 FAILED

NGC7243 (OC)

DSS
© DSS II (blue) - 30×30'
Name: NGC7243, H8.75
Type: OC
Constellation: Lac
Coordinates: 22h15m08.00s / +49°53'54.00"
Brightness / Size: v6.4 mag / 21.0x21.0'
8" f/6, 37x, Bortle 4
Pretty rich, loose cluster with mainly medium bright stars. The cluster appeared centrally bipartite.
EASY

NGC7245 (OC)

DSS
© DSS II (blue) - 10×10'
Name: NGC7245, H6.29
Type: OC
Constellation: Lac
Coordinates: 22h15m15.00s / +54°19'58.00"
Brightness / Size: v9.2 mag / 5.0x5.0'
120mm f/5, 75x, Bortle 6, SQM-L 19.4
Three stars of different magnitude form a triangle, in which the cluster appears as a pretty faint, roundish, evenly bright glow.

MODERATE
120mm f/5, 40x, Bortle 4, SQM-L 21.0
At 40x between two brighter stars the cluster appeared as a roundish, barely condensed, rather faint brightening. At 75x it appeared occasionally granular with averted vision.

MODERATE
8" f/6, 80x, Bortle 3, SQM-L 21.3
At 37x apparent as brightening. At 80x partly resolved, partly diffuse. Mainly faint members. At 150x almost the same view.
EASY

NGC7296 (OC)

DSS
© DSS II (blue) - 8×8'
Name: NGC7296, H7.41
Type: OC
Constellation: Lac
Coordinates: 22h28m01.00s / +52°19'22.00"
Brightness / Size: v9.7 mag / 4.0x4.0'
8" f/6, 37x, Bortle 4
Despite of star rich surrounding quite evident & small at 37x. At first glance rather diffuse, individual stars visible with averted vision. At 80x the background is still slightly nebulous.
