Large, open cluster with an angular size of almost 5°.

naked eye, Bortle 4, NELM 6.0+, SQM-L 21.0
Cluster was about 30° above the horizon. Obvious, large brightening. Similar to Messier 44, but much larger.

Cluster was about 30° above the horizon. Almost too large, so the contrast to the surroundings suffered. Scattered bright stars without any concentration toward the middle. Overall poor cluster. Best view with the naked eye or maybe with very low magnifying binoculars.
