M44 (OC)

DSS
© DSS II (blue) - 95×95'
Name: M44, NGC2632, Praesepe, Beehive Cluster
Type: OC
Constellation: Cnc
Coordinates: 08h40m24.00s / +19°40'00.00"
Brightness / Size: v3.1 mag / 95.0x95.0'
naked eye, Bortle 4
Very evident as large, slightly oval, diffuse brightening. Easily seen with direct vision.

EASY
B 40mm, 8x, Bortle 4-, NELM 5.7+, SQM-L 20.9
Wonderful cluster for small binoculars. Completely resolved.

EASY
4.5" f/8, 28x, Bortle 6, NELM 5.0
Due to the quite large field of view of about 2.4° I got a nice view on M44. Many brighter and some moderately bright stars widely scattered.

M67 (OC)

DSS
© DSS II (blue) - 30×30'
Name: M67, NGC2682
Type: OC
Constellation: Cnc
Coordinates: 08h51m18.00s / +11°48'00.00"
Brightness / Size: v6.9 mag / 30.0x30.0'
B 40mm, 8x, Bortle 4, NELM 6.0+, SQM-L 21.0
Oval brightening, not resolvable. Evident star at the edge.

EASY
4.5" f/8, 28x, Bortle 6
At 28x already well resolved with many, more fainter stars. Background appeared still diffuse. On the southwestern edge two brighter stars. At 75x many faint stars.

EASY
8" f/6, 37x, Bortle 4
Worthwhile! Very evident, rich with more fainter stars. Background appeared diffuse. At higher magnification I could see several star chains and densifications. A brighter star on the edge.
