M5 (GC)

DSS
© DSS II (red) - 23×23'
Name: M5, NGC5904
Type: GC
Constellation: Ser
Coordinates: 15h18m33.22s / +02°04'51.70"
Brightness / Size: v6.0 mag / 23.0x23.0'
16" f/4.5, 225x, Bortle 4, NELM 6.1, SQM-L 21.1
SQM-L 20.7: Resolved deep into the center, whereby the background appeared still diffuse. In the outer regions many star chains visible.

EASY
8" f/6, 37x, Bortle 4, NELM 6.1, SQM-L 21.1
SQM-L 20.7: Very bright. Much brighter, sharply defined center. Scattered stars visible in the edge regions, otherwise more granulous. At 150x the edge regions are well resolved, center still compact.

NGC6535 (GC)

DSS
© DSS II (red) - 5×5'
Name: NGC6535
Type: GC
Constellation: Ser
Coordinates: 18h03m50.51s / -00°17'51.50"
Brightness / Size: v9.3 mag / 3.4x3.4'
B 40mm, 8x, Bortle 4, SQM-L 20.9

FAILED
120mm f/5, 40x, Bortle 4, SQM-L 21.1
SQM-L 20.8: Pretty faint, slightly condensed, roundish.

MODERATE
8" SC, 62x, Bortle 5
Overall quite faint, moderately concentrated with slight brightening toward the middle. At 62x diffuse, at 111x slightly granulous with averted vision. Fairly well perceptible with averted vision.

Name: NGC6539
Type: GC
Constellation: Ser
Coordinates: 18h04m49.74s / -07°35'09.10"
Brightness / Size: v8.9 mag / 7.9x7.9'
B 40mm, 8x, Bortle 4, SQM-L 20.9 FAILED

Pal5 (GC)

DSS
© DSS II (red) - 12×12'
Name: Pal5, UGC9792, Serpens Dwarf
Type: GC
Constellation: Ser
Coordinates: 15h16m05.30s / -00°06'41.00"
Brightness / Size: v11.8 mag / 8.0x8.0'
Although Pal 5 is a globular cluster, it is part of the UGC, a catalogue of galaxies.

16" f/4.5, 225x, Bortle 4, NELM 6.1, SQM-L 21.1
SQM-L 20.7: We also tried apertures of 8 and 12.5 inch.
