M13 (GC)

DSS
© DSS II (blue) - 24×24'
Name: M13, NGC6205
Type: GC
Constellation: Her
Coordinates: 16h41m41.63s / +36°27'40.75"
Brightness / Size: v5.8 mag / 23.2x23.2'
One of the most beautiful globular cluster of the northern hemisphere. Nearby you can find the fairly bright galaxy NGC6207 with a distance of less than 30'.

naked eye, Bortle 4, SQM-L 21.1
Fairly well seen with averted vision as small, diffuse brightening.

MODERATE
B 40mm, 8x, Bortle 6-, NELM 5.3, SQM-L 19.3
Obvious, relatively large, moderately concentrated.

EASY
B 50mm, 7x, Bortle 8, NELM 4.0
Despite of massive light pollution (city & half moon) and large exit pupil of 7mm I could easily see M13 with direct vision as a quite small, but bright nebula.

EASY
80mm f/6.25, 40x, Bortle 5, SQM-L 20.7
At 40x the edge regions partially resolved. At 90x the cluster was quite well resolved close to the center.

EASY
4.5" f/8, 28x, Bortle 6+
Very bright. At 28x the edge regions appeared granulous, at 100x they could be partially resolved. Scattered stars within the center were visible. Otherwise granular.

EASY
120mm f/5, 18x, Bortle 7, NELM 5.0, SQM-L 19.1
Hazy sky, 1/3 moon: At 18x very bright, diffuse, granular with averted vision. At 75x the edge regions are resolved, whereby the background stays nebulous.

EASY
8" f/6, 37x, Bortle 4
Awesome view! Widely resolved at 37x. From 100x the cluster is resolved deep into the center. Incredible count of stars and star chains.

M92 (GC)

DSS
© DSS II (blue) - 14×14'
Name: M92, NGC6341
Type: GC
Constellation: Her
Coordinates: 17h17m07.39s / +43°08'09.40"
Brightness / Size: v6.5 mag / 14.0x14.0'
B 40mm, 8x, Bortle 5, NELM 5.5
Very evident, diffuse, round with much brighter center.

EASY
80mm f/6.25, 33x, Bortle 5, NELM 5.8, SQM-L 20.7
Very condensed brightening, not resolved.

EASY
8" f/6, 37x, Bortle 4, SQM-L 21.1
At 37x very compact center with resolved edge regions. At 150x the cluster was resolved close to the center. The center still very compact and appeared granular with averted vision.

NGC6229 (GC)

DSS
© DSS I - 5×5'
Name: NGC6229, H4.50
Type: GC
Constellation: Her
Coordinates: 16h46m58.64s / +47°31'36.38"
Brightness / Size: v9.4 mag / 3.8x3.8'
B 40mm, 8x, Bortle 5, NELM 5.5
Very compact brightening. Barely seen with averted vision.

DIFFICULT
80mm f/6.25, 33x, Bortle 5, NELM 5.8, SQM-L 20.7
Compact, fairly bright, just visible with direct vision. Forms an isosceles triangle with 2 nearby stars.

EASY
4.5" f/8, 28x, Bortle 7, NELM 5.0
Barely seen with direct vision, evident with averted vision. Relatively small, round, diffuse, slight brightening toward the middle.

EASY
8" f/6, 37x, Bortle 3-, NELM 6.3
Very bright with very compact center. At 150x the edge regions seemed a bit granulous, but not for sure.
