UGC3327 (BN)

DSS
© DSS II (blue) - 5×5'
Name: UGC3327, MCG+05-14-001
Type: BN, RN
Constellation: Aur
Coordinates: 05h36m40.90s / +31°51'16.0"
Brightness / Size: b13.0 mag / 2.5×2.5'
Quite interesting object, which is listed as a galaxy in the UGC/MCG, whereas in Simbad it is a reflection nebula. However to me it appears visually more as a reflection nebula due to the bright, stellar center (central star!?).

8" f/6, 150x, Bortle 4
Relatively bright central star, surrounded by an apparent halo, which gets darker towards the edges. Well visible with averted vision.
